How far the Wings are going to go in the playoffs?

I just don't think it's right to predict they'll lose before it even starts

Well the point of the thread is to make a prediction on how well the wings will do. Nobody has seen them play in the post season yet. I personally think there is at least one better team out there than the wings that is also more hungry that us that will take the cup home this year. But I'm still hoping for the best, don't worry

Well that would be being critical and you're right anyways--sorry I'm just trying to get this down and getting back to work.

yeah no worries, more people will read your post now anyway :hehe:

Guest Tunbo Batman

theoretically, the Wings chance at the cup hover around 1/16th :P

however, you might want to correct that value with added coefficient of relative team strength, multiplied by the vertex of shots on goal differential divided by the cosine of the average attendance, and still end up with a perfectly useless number :P

No Worries indeed. I know the difference b/w being critical as opposed to offensive and really the third paragraph is arbitrarily broken up. Anyhoo...

The Wings have potential this playoffs, but they've had that before...

With the Wings, it's all or nothing (first round elimination or the Stanley cup final).

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't have a good feeling...

The addition of Bertuzzi doesn't impress me, he has been almost invisible since the Steve Moore incident. Lidstrom looks tired like someone mentioned and our forwards are very small/not physical.

Hasek is gonna have to stand on his head, otherwise, it will be thanks Wings for a great regular season once again...

I disagree on both points.

1. Bertuzzi hasn't been invisible HERE. Maybe this is just the team to energize him. It's just a matter of time before he finds the net. And don't forget Calder!

2. While I think Hasek will stand on his head, I think that the key to winning will be finding our scoring edge in the playoffs...get our best guns firing. I don't think it matters that they are small when they are scoring up a storm. Also, I think Flips and Huddles will be a boost of energy that no one expected. So, basically. Hasek won't be able to drag us to a Cup win WE NEED TO SCORE. But if we have a slow start, I do hope he'll drag us through that.

Fear is the mindkiller!

I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Only The Red Wings will remain.

good post, bertuzzi has been anything but invisible since the steve moore incident, while he didnt play much for the panthers, he put up 7pts in 7 games playes, and the first two games for us, coming off injury, he has been phenomenal in my opinion
