Actually that is Sammy's right hand pulling up on the jersey, not Markov. Dany would have to bend at an obscene angle to get that pose... and he (markov) doesn't look uncomfortable at all ;)

the fans are loving it, too. :P Nice to see some passion and "grit" out there last night. Go, Wings!!

I missed a portion of the mic'd session leading up to Snides saying something about them (ducks) being "duck Ice" WTF, what did I miss? It was when he was mic'd during warmups and it was at Center Ice.

I heard that comment, when Schneids was talking to a player on the Ducks during the warmup - sorry, I don't recall who it was. It sounded like "we got Duck ice tonight..."

What I think Schneids meant was that it was unseasonably warm in Detroit and the ice wasn't as crisp as usual. The commentators said the AC and cooling units were working overtime in Motown, to keep the ice from going mushy but apparently it was soft last night in comparison to what the Wings were used to at home. I took his comment about Duck ice to mean the ice was soft, as in a California-type playing surface.

edit, spelling

Ohh , I get it. Duck Ice is the ice in california because it was so warm in Detroit yesterday.

Thats not the weirdest thing I've heard this week from a hockey player. Anyone watch the pittsburgh/boston game , crosby scored a goal on the back-hand and then started cracking up saying "Backhand , Backhand"

That one I still cant figure out
