alright idk how iv never learned this, but i just kinda assumed why. i want to know the real reason that players get kicked out of the face off? i in no way claim to know everything about hockey though i have been a fan all my life... so please keep the ribbing to a minimal... i know its a amature question. biggrin.gif

not being set before the puck is dropped is one reason
Youth and enthusiasm will only take you so far. I'd rather be old and smart than young and dumb any day.

Except for Darren Helm, he's a badass.

here's a few:

feet and/or shoulders not square

too far over the faceoff circle

not putting/keeping your stick down (visiting team)

another player on your team jumps the gun and moves into the circle or across to the other teams side

all depends on the official
