SweWings 45 Report post Posted March 29, 2007 They aren't that bad. I mean they're great. Much better than what I'm used to here in Sweden. After watching a great deal of games through SopCast I've really started to love the enthusiastic, screaming style that the guys often use. When it comes to retarded comments both countries suffer their share. I guess you can't get rid of that, I mean you always value your own opinion higher than that of people who actually work broadcasting the sport . But I'm actually considering watching the World Championships with US commentators if they show it on SopCast. Although the World Championships tend to be a lot better. I have to agree with you, SweWings. If a game is on Canal+ (the only channel with NHL rights in Sweden) with Swedish announcers, I'm simply not watching. They ruin the entire thing. There was this one really old guy,Pentti Lindegren,who was great but he's retired now. Well,actually he was just funny. He could say just about anything by accident. I don't know if he was the commentator that I watched when I watched the World Chamionships back in 1998 when I was visiting relatives in the Sievi area but I had a blast watching the Sweden-Finland final that year.
