Inultus 12 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I think I'd rather Lose Kron than any of our other D besides Lilja (I'm not counting Griffins).
GuloGulo 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 We'll see what happens when babs need to squeeze out additional minutes from our lower chart guys. It might work out, or it'll expose them. And even worse it gives the team less options. We'll essentially have the same defense as last year, with Markov bouncing down Lilja to Kronwall's role. Quincey will probably not play that much. I'd even consider the option of dressing 7 defenseman and 11 skaters for games. I do NOT want Chelios & co having to play above their roles.
rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 Now, do we really want Kyle Quincey to have to fill in Game 7 vs. the Flames @ the Joe? One of Quincey's upsides is his steady, dependable play in the defensive zone, so yes. Also, no Kronwall means Schneider needs to elevate his game.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I'm optimistic that Lebda will step it up during the playoffs.
SoupGuru 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I'm optimistic that Lebda will step it up during the playoffs. And why wouldn't he? He's been doing everything we've asked of him and more. He just seems to be one of those guys that seizes the opportunities that come his way... not to mention that he seems to learn quickly.
