Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 Who here is in one? And on top of that, who would be your picks?
toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I "will be" in one, but in terms of picks, it all depends on the rules of the pool.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I'd like to be in one. It wouldn't be too hard especially if you repick after each round. I wouldn't mind throwing a few chucks on that.
toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 I used to run the pool in the office, but passed that responsibility on to someone else. We do a really simple one in which you simply pick 10 forwards, 5 defensemen and a goalie. There are no drafts, theorectically, two people could have the exact picks (never really happens). You keep those players for the entire playoffs. For forwards and defensemen it is basically each goal and assist they record, you get a point in your totals. For goalies, I think they get 1 or 2 pts for a win and an extra point or two if they get a shutout. So, you really need to pick who you think is going to be around in the playoffs awhile to pile up the points, but if you pick all guys from one or two teams, for example, you could potentially be toast after the first round. Spread your picks over too many teams and you are likely toast as well.

I wouldnt mind doing something this year.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 4, 2007 I prefer the draft idea when you sit around the day playoffs start with a bunch of friends and have a few beers while you watch a game on TV
