Pens vs. Sens

Yeah, I'm watchin. Crosby's goal was dissallowed cause he kicked it in and then as always he complained to the ref. It was a marginal call though. Sens are owning Pittsburgh. Fleury is really shakey and nervous.

Refs are making bad calls on the Pens tonight. There was one hooking call that was totally moronic. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ottawa win this series on PP goals alone (by that I mean that Ottawa scores more PP goals than Pitt. scores goals period).

Marginal call? Crosby was literally sitting on his leg when it made contact with the puck. How in the blue hell do you kick at something with a leg that you are sitting on? Pele can't figure out how that was considered a kicking motion.

Damn right he should have complained. He got boxed for a heinous call at the end of the third too. Led to a Sens goal early in the 3rd. Game is over now.

Crosby's leg kicked the puck! It was a follow through but was not intentional, still no goal though.

6-1 Sens, Pizza time!

Pens werent going to win this game. The NHL heavily favors the Canadian teams. I can't even watch this game. All the b.s. calls. All the b.s. no calls. Yes, Pittsburgh is playing horrible defense..offense..but, the refs are doing a good job at burying another American team. I'm surprised with the NHL loving Crosby so much..and only selling the game through one player..that his goal was disallowed..and for what reason? It just makes you wonder when they call Toronto to review the plays how much they really watch the replays. Also, 2 main calls stuck out in my mind. One off a faceoff in mid second period, at the dot closest to the bottom of the screen nearest to Ottawa's zone..Malkin was completely mauled down right in front of the ref and not even thought about making a call. Next, early third when the showed Ryan Whitney injured. The Ottawa guy completely kicked Whitney's feet out from under him. Didn't have the puck..and also right in front of the ref.

Another notice, even though this game is one sided...this is exciting hockey. Tons of hitting, fast paced, and a loud crowd. Thats hockey.

It couldn't have possibly been intentional, seeing as his leg was underneath him. Who is he? Ronaldo?

No defense and a inexperienced goaltender usually doesn't end well. Pens are going to get demolished in this series.

if they play thibault, theyll be in a better goaltending situation

Conspiracy schmonspiracy...the pens never stood a chance against the Sens.

oh, and the Senators actually had more penalty calls against them than the Penguins.

Regardless, the refs left at least two Sens penalties on the ice, and they called at least two againt the Pens that weren't warranted.

And the conspiracy talk was more or less facetious

I've heard people refer to Crosby as magic, but time travel?

[/font]

Are we to believe when Crosby was penalized at the end of the third, it actually caused him to not be able to return to the beginning of the third and prevent a goal?

the game was already out of reach when the penguins kept getting powerplay after powerplay , seemed like the sens always had a 5 on 3

Well, only 3 out of the 16 teams in the playoffs are Canadian so there's a, roughly, 19% chance that a Canadian team will win the Cup. If the refs keep officiating the way they have been today: 57%. I'll say that most of the calls have been warranted. I think you have to remember that it's the playoffs and the players' self-discipline is way down, especially on a young, nervous team like the Baby Pens. I think the calls will get better as the series goes on. Unless, of course, McGeough officiates your game.
