PolskAltima 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 (edited) this the the situation we have all seen coming... with Bertuzzi probably playing game 2... who out of the fwds will sit? i would not scratch Filpulla or Rex(Huds) cuz they both have been playing well... my choice would be either Cleary or Maltby... tough choice for the coach... my fwd lines... Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Calder - Lang - Bertuzzi Cleary - Draper - Sammy Franzen - Filpulla - Rex(Hudler) Edited April 13, 2007 by PolskAltima
e_mcgrath88 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 I havent seen much from Hudler myself... Clearly looks fine.. and Maltby will not be scratched.... I say Hudler..

PolskAltima 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 I havent seen much from Hudler myself... Clearly looks fine.. and Maltby will not be scratched.... I say Hudler.. he has the assist on Lidstrom's goal...
e_mcgrath88 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 he has the assist on Lidstrom's goal... oh, I didnt realize it.... I was a little disappointed in him when he gave up the puck twice on the delayed penalties though... To me, he looks timid when he has the puck.. he's a real good player and i like him, but I feel that once Calgary wakes up and start banging us, Clearly would be the guy i'd rather have out there..... just my opinion. scotzman 29 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Sammy has done nothin'... he needs to sit. Flip and Huds have played well... I would say Lang, but that ain't gonna' happen and Sammy is worse.
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 As much as I wanted to seem him succeed, Sammy is the obvious choice.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 id like to see Sammy, Maltby or Cleary sit when Bertuzzi comes back... Cleary and Maltby had great games. Sammy is a goner.
Chase 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Hopefully Sammy, but knowing Babcock he wont bench him. Sadley Hudler will probably sit.
Salviaman 104 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 I would sit Sammy but Babcock wont do that IMO. Hudler will be the man out sadly. Maltby and Cleary played great against Igilna tonight, I would not sit them.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 God willing........Let it be Sammy.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Honestly though, I think Huds has grown on Babs. Normally I'd say 100% he'd leave Sammy on even if Sam took a dump on the bench half way through the game, but this time Sammy's got no scapegoat... Although this is still Babs, so your guess is as good as mine. I really don't see sitting Huds as a smart move though- it's not going to motivate him like it would in the regular season, it'll probably hurt his confidence and he's still at the point where he doesn't have tons to spare... PolskAltima 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 just watched the Hudler interview on FSN... i really hope he plays... he wants to be out there...
redwingsfan19 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 I think that Sammy should sit out. Maltby usually does great in the playoffs, and we need him for the penalty kills with Draper. Flip, Cleary and Hudler have been playing too well to take them out.
puckbags 863 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Nice luxury to have. We have to decided who to bench after a win. Even better is there is not glaring obvious choice!!
Aeothe Kaear 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 yea he didnt do much this game... youd figure after his 5 point game hed do better... Who cares if he put up 5 points in a meaningless game against a team with nothing to play for and no defense to speak of? Of course he didn't do much, when you're too timid to go near the high-traffic areas and wilt under the slightest pressure when you have the puck, you're not going to be a playoff hero. Of course, if I were running things, there's no way he would've still been on the team this season...

norrisnick 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Fil and MasterBlaster (Hoodlum and 'Stein) were our 2nd best line tonight. Babcock would be stupid to break it up.
