YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2007 I'm getting nervous now. It is imperitive that we go to Calgary up 2 games to 0. We are. Don't fret.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 15, 2007 It's what happened with Kipper in '04 too. And Rolie in '06. The only difference is that these shots are a little closer in...but the result is the same. I don't agree. There's a difference this time around. While the Wings shouldn't be taking those easy shots that Kipper almost always saves, they have been driving to the net and as a result to that scoring goals. 4 in the first game, 2 so far. They couldn't do that in the last 3+ years. It's a different team now so I don't see why everyone is freaking out at the moment. It was one bad period. They know what they have to do to add to the lead.
terri27 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2007 my fault, I am just upset that I will only be able to watch the game on a screen the size of picture in picture Better than not being able to see the game at all.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 15, 2007 Can someone confirm that Regehr is injured again? I thought I heard something about it prior to the intermission, but I'm not sure... Though it's a lot of fluff the shots are 35-11 and outside of a 10 minute span in the opening half of the 2nd period, the Wings have -- by far -- carried the play. The Flames' last shot was at the 11-minute mark of the period. Just no stupid penalties and a killer instinct in the 3rd and they'll go to Calgary up 2-0. They've been getting offensive chances, they've just got to finish on them. I didn't hear anything...but then, my wife's been vacuuming throughout the intermission. Would be interesting if that was the case. Would also show that it was a good idea to hold Bert out a bit longer.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 15, 2007 THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS guys. I'm positive as heck! In fact, I would LOVE *even though I'd have a heart attack* for the Wings to win this 2-1. Shut 'em down defensively the whole period, and play physical as heck.

Really, I didn't hear that. However, his TOI is only 11:15, opposed to the leading three all having 13+ minutes.

While the Wings shouldn't be taking those easy shots that Kipper almost always saves, they have been driving to the net and as a result to that scoring goals. Agreed. The Wings are firing those shots from bad angles but most of the time there's a forward (Calder, Holmstrom, Cleary, etc., ) that's parked in front of Kiprusoff or charging in there. A big difference form the 03-06 playoff teams that fired those shots and wouldn't dare enter the slot or goalcrease.
