Now, since everyone here in Edmonton hates the Flames even more - i get comments on my Wings jersey all the time. I just think its funny how last year Edmontonians hated the Wings and this year, everyone is rooting for them. It was probably the same way in Calgary last year. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 It always helps that Edmonton is not in the playoffs. Or for that matter that the Wings are playing their bitterest of rivals. Although I still somewhat expect Oilers fans to root for the Flames, because their an Alberta team, and most every Canadian can't stand it when an American team wins the Cup. Most notably Grapes, but still. Yeah i was going to mention that the only opposition i get is from Bandwagoner Oiler fans who jump on the Flames bus. But i just shut them down because they are pathetic. I dont see how you can violently hate a team during the regular season, and then all of a sudden start cheering for them because they have somehow transformed into "Alberta's Team".
