Copenhagen848 58 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 I don't wish an injury on any player, but him not playing is nothing but good for the Wings. If he didn't even skate, I bet he's out for game 5 as well
redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 i would'nt get too excited they did beat us without him in game 3....
scotzman 29 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Yea! I think that is a big loss for them either way... Now if someone would finish their check on Iginla and he could get a charlie horse or something non-career threatening, we'd be all set. Maybe a groin pull for Kipper too. Just Kidding! Go Wings!! C'sInMyBlood 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Yeah, not great news for the Flames. At least his replacement, Mark Giordano was huge in game 3 for the Flames, scoring the goal that tied the game, playing in his first NHL playoff game. Brought some fire to his team that was needed after the showing they had in games one and two. Still Robyn is a big part of the Flames, and will be missed again. zaxx 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Any news on Phaneuf ? is he playing? Why wouldn't he play? He came back after getting cleaned up in he dressing room in game 3. Cleary hit him hard but he played later in the game.
MaynardJKeenan 1 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 , It would have been nice to have him back!!! Big Bert played after he was hit but missed a while after that. The symptoms of a concussion aren't always apparent right away.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 With Regehr out again, this is the night for the Wings to seize absolute control of the series. Win this one, and don't allow Regehr to get healthy while your playing them.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Regehr brought it upon himself. He wasn't 100% yet. And in all honesty I will be suprised if/when Phaneuf plays tonight. They way he reacted (ie. no idea where he was, loosing balance, etc) was full of signs of concussions, and if he skated (stumbled) away from that hit without rattling his brain up, then he really is a lucky man. Burninator 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 There would have some news about Phaneuf if was not playing or hurt. It is safe to say that he is playing tonight. He just got knocked a little loopy that's all. He'll have his sights set on number 11 for sure. Disappointing about Regher not coming back. But if we won without him in the line up before, we can do it again.
Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Why wouldn't he play? He came back after getting cleaned up in he dressing room in game 3. Cleary hit him hard but he played later in the game. He got hit pretty hard, like ocalafloridawingzfan said, Bertuzzi played a shift or two after he ran over Osgood. Just because he played again that game doesn't mean that he will be cleared to play tonight. He also got up and kinda half skated around right after he got hit...but he obviously wasn't fine. Regehr brought it upon himself. He wasn't 100% yet. And in all honesty I will be surprised if/when Phaneuf plays tonight. They way he reacted (ie. no idea where he was, loosing balance, etc) was full of signs of concussions, and if he skated (stumbled) away from that hit without rattling his brain up, then he really is a lucky man. I would be pretty surprised too if he played, the way he couldn't keep his footing after he got back up from the hit looked pretty like a bad sign to me. arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 We need to come out with jump regardless of who is on the ice. I never like to see a player hurt, and it must really sucks to work so hard for so long to miss that playoffs. That being said, right now, he is my enemey, so him on the sidelines does not hurt me at all.
