Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) It's been talked about non stop ever since the end of game 3. But I have yet to state my opinion on the topic of line changes, and I think I have a new view of it. My revised lines for game 5. Cleary-Draper-Maltby Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Lang-Bertuzzi Hudler-Flip-Calder Success shows itself no matter what. Shaking up the lines may cause a few players (Lang, Sammy, Dats, and Z) to look at themselves hard and deep. The Draper line has been the bright spot the last 2 games and the line order should show that. The DZH line is invisible and the Lang line is a disappointment (even if they scored twice last night, they still haven't done their job defensively). Sammy obviously needs to sit, and Hudler always provides a spark with Flip. Calder would add an edge to that line. Also, if Babs doesn't sit Sammy, this is what I think he should do. Cleary-Draper-Maltby Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Flip-Bertuzzi Sammy-Lang-Calder (put the 32 rotten eggs in one basket and minimize the damage they do to only one line) What do you guys think? Glad to see Babcock woke up and put Bertuzzi in front of the net on the PP, even though it didnt help any

Those are pretty much te same lines we have now just Hulder in for sammy. It seemed to work the first 2 games, but now we are getting crushed. Zetterberg cant get free, Dats is getting swarmed everytime he touches the puck. we need to break that line apart and spread the talent. Im thinking Zetterberg -Bert-Homer Calder- Dats -Franzen lang- Flip- Huds (speed intensity might make lang look good) Cleary -Drapes- Maltby I think putting two bruisers around our talent such as bert and homer around berg and calder and franzen around dats, it will create room for zetterberg and dats so they dont have three guys on them all at once.
