Chase 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2007 Dunno If anyone saw this or not, but Darren Dreger says Lebda's hip check was acceptable. There was some nastiness late in the Flames/Red Wings game, but it was a very physical afternoon of hockey throughout. One big hit saw Brett Lebda go down low on Daymond Langkow, but it was still an acceptable hip check. What the Red Wings did not find acceptable was Langkow landing an uppercut on Lebda after the hit. Perhaps the National Hockey League will look at that. It was typical Red Wings hockey all game long. When you play a healthy Red Wings team you know what you are going to get - you're going to get Tomas Holmstrom, Kirk Maltby and everyone wearing red wreaking havoc in the crease. Miikka Kiprusoff has been screened, bumped and knocked over, but that is part of any Wings post-season series. The Flames are relying absolutely too heavily on heroics of Kiprusoff. Through five games the Calgary netminder has faced 92 more shots than Dominik Hasek. Hasek's series has been a walk in the park by comparison. Link
