what ticks me off about playfair is that he just doesn't seem to care. Never displays any emotion... some people would say having a coach with a level head is a good thing, but its nice to see some passion displayed every once in a while.

That's one of the big problems we had with Dave Lewis in his tenure behind the bench here as head coach. Playfair just doesn't have that angry streak in him and unfortunately, that makes him more cut out for an Asst. Coach spot, not head coach.

Hi Jiggy,

thanks for cheers and see you next time! was a good series and watching it together while arguing about it (in civilized atmosphere) was nice and we hope to see you here again.

I guess many Wings fans will keep some bad feelings towards your team for some time, but once we get over this, we'll definitely share memories of this series. good luck and enjoy the rest of NHL playoffs even when your team is gone!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again Jiggy. Next to my Wife (obviously :) ), you are my favorite Flames fan.

Lot's of class. Your team made it a rough series, but you owe it to Kipper for actually making it a series.

Hope to see you around the boards more!

CHEERS! :beerbuddy:

Its too bad the Flames decided not to show up for game 6, pretty disheartening to see.

The Wings brought their A game and completley dominated the play. And on the road no less, in a tough building... maybe the toughest building.

Hasek had a good game, and what a shot by Franzen...wow. Didn't see that coming. We had our chances, the Moss one will haunt me, but you could tell it just wasn't meant to be. The intensity wasn't there for the Flames.

It was awesome to see the fans stick around for 1 last "Kipper" chant...because he was the only reason they even got to see a game 6. Thank you Kipper, you're the best.

Hats off to the Red Wings, and good luck next round. I'll be cheering for you to come out of the West.

Thanks for the good conversations! Kipper is awesome!!!!

Way to be a classy Flames fan, especially under the circumstances

edit: I understand that Playfair is a rookie coach, but from where I'm sitting it really doesn't look like he is the right guy for the job. Between the play that Calgary is obviously capable of and the reality of just how close they came to success in this series, I think this could have easily gone the other way for the Flames with Sutter behind the bench.

Yeah, congrats to the Red Wings, we were totally owned, especially at the Joe.

Wings fans, enjoy watching your team play in round two, some of you really fell apart after game four, I really didn't understand it, but some fans are like that. Kudos to the level headed fans that called the non believers out.

Have some faith in your team, even during the bad times.

I thought Cleary, Draper, and Hasek were the Wings best players. Franzen, and Filppula were also great providing some spark almost every shift they were on the ice. I hope Draper is going to be ok.

BTW I see a guy named Calder on the Wings roster, did he even play in this series? Cause I don't think I saw him.

Good luck in the playoffs, the Wings look poised for a solid run this post season.

Draper? You mean Holmstrom? He's the one who got cut.

We picked him up just before the deadline. He played in most of the playoff games as a power forward, mainly just crashing the corners and fighting off checks. He didn't play in game 4 though; replaced by Hudler.

Sorry guys, we are done.

The Wings are a one-trick pony, and Calgary has figured out how to beat that trick, so it's all over tomorrow night. No matter how many fancy plays we abort while trying to enter the zone, no matter how many times we shoot high and wide or directly in the goalie's chest, we're not winning another game this year. Babcock is completely lost again....he was outcoached by Craig ******* Mactavish, and now that n00b? Shame.

I'd eat crow, but I just can't see it happening.

I guess you can eat that crow now and all the people who stuck by this team will be happy to have you back..we will probably lose another game somewhere along the line and you will get another chance to make the jump off the wagon

I am sorry, I meant Holmstrom, actually need to add him to my list of players who played well, he really got down to business and showed us once again why his home is parked in the crease. Hope he is ok.

Just to clarify I know who Calder is, just thought he was invisible throughout the series, and think Bertuzzi should have replaced him instead of Hudler for games 3 and 4. But what do I know, I'm a Flames fan.
