I feel strangely comfortable about facing the Sharks.

Me too. Earlier today I was hoping Dallas would win but I'm not feeling too worried. That's not to say the Sharks won't be a challenge. They will be. They're extremely good. And big. And fast.

Well the Anaheim Ducks wouldve had a free pass to the Conference finals either way. The only teams that are going to be able to take down the Ducks are the few who have offensive arsenals (Detroit and San Jose). Vancouver will be just another Minnesota to Anaheim - a defensive minded team that plays the same game as Anaheim, except at a slightly lower level.

Which gives the third round team a huge disadvantage when they face the Ducks, unless they are really rusty when they play, but they will not be beat up.

Well, bring on the Sharks then! I wanted Dallas for the travel, but I ain't skeered of the Teal Warriors.

I am.

Call me a Negative Nelly, but I don't think we win this series. I'd love to be proven wrong. The key is that we absolutely HAVE to stay out of the penalty box. Their power play will destroy us....

Turco was like...all they had.

He would have had to get a shutout for them to win.

BRING IT SHARKIES!!!

LOL what about the canucks ?????? pls man they cant score there lucky they got 2 goals tonight ( 2 empty netters dont count)

canucks are gonna get DEMOLISHED by anaheim ......take out the sedin's and just concentrate on beating luongo ....canuck's cant score

Man, if I were a Dallas fan I'd be beyond pissed at how that game was called. I think Schick started singing "Oh, Canada" on his numerous trips to the box to give the Canucks yet another power play.

No fan of Turco, but I feel bad for him. He deserved more than that nonsense tonight.

Agree. People who say Canadian teams don't get home cookin' calls (or non-calls) in their own barn are full of it. It happens all the damn time.

Pathetic.

So a team from Canada in the West and East still standing. I guess that when the Wings do their road trips to Canada I just notch those games as almost guaranteed losses. Some may call it the Canada Curse, to me it is just the Canada Conspiracy. Rang very true in this game.

Well maybe Dallas was looking too good to be true. If the Wings play like they did most of the series vs the Canucks - we'll be OK. Yuck to west coast travel - except the game times are better for me (and others not in EST). Wings need to win. Anaheim-SJ WFC might be good for Cali, but boring for many of us - go wings!

Wooo hell ya! :D

I love how all of you underestimate the Canucks so much, but that is what fuels them. Remember, they aren't supposed to make the playoffs this year, let alone win the division and win their 1st series. Anaheim and Vancouver will be a good series, but with more scoring. Look for the Sedins to start producing again. As a Canucks fan, I say Canucks in 6. Realistically, I say Anaheim in 7. With the reffing done throughout the playoffs thus far, Anaheim is not gonna be able to get away with their style of play.

You guys will be lucky if you don't get swept.

esteef......

Gesundheit.

Haven't watched much hockey I see. When a team gets badly outplayed as Dallas did, they often take bad penalties. You're in panic mode, the opposing team is skating circles around you and you have a tendency to hook and slash out of frustration to get back on a level playing field. Canucks won. Fair and square.
