Game Times?

Is anyone else really upset about the fact that the game times are ridiculous? I mean during the regualr season you RARELY had a game that was before 7 oclock, but playoffs come around and NBC wants a piece of the NHL action....and for some reason they dont want to give the NHL any primetime slots so we are stuck watching games at 3 in the afternoon or something like that. Its ridiculous, i mean i have already missed 1 playoff game this year, and the half of another one because of poor scheduling. I'd rather have our games at 10 oclock at night than 3 in the afternoon atleast i would have the option of staying up and watching rather than being forced to miss them because of being at work. I dont know how many of you are actually in michigan, but im sure the time difference has thrown everyone off not just me. So i dunno. What do you guys think? Also i dont know if this has been posted or not so if this is a duplicate im sorry.

i don't mind afternoon games. they only have them on the weekends so its not a problem for me. 10:00 games, on the other hand, are bad 'cause i work in the morning.

It was a simple opinion on my part, ill be sure to think twice next time in order to prevent you from taking two seconds out of your day from reading it and having to post something that is pretty much unecesary. So is this game on FSND, cause right now they have the tigers on their schedule? I know its on VS, but if its on FSND then its blacked out on VS here in Toledo. Just want to set my DVR to the right channel.

It looks like just games 3,6,7 would be on FSN, so thursday should just be on VS if im not mistaken.

NHL playoff games being broadcasted on weekend afternoons have been routine for quite some time now, even back when Fox and ESPN/ABC would broadcast them. I can recall at least three off the top of my head being broadcasted in the afternoon from the 2002 playoffs back when it was ABC. Game 6 vs Vancouver, and Games 2 and either 4 or 5 vs Colorado. And I can guarantee you this probably goes back to close to when I started watching hockey religiously, since 1995-96 season.

So NBC is just like Fox and ESPN/ABC was back in the day, trying to find proper time slots. This is nothing unusual.

Just use a VCR recorder or DVR.

And don’t take for granted living up in Michigan that you are able to see just about ever game on Fox Sports Detroit. While afternoon games might be slightly inconvenient, there are far worse tragedies. Some people here who lie outside the Detroit/Michigan area don't have NHL Center Ice, so NBC/Versus broadcasts are all that they had, which meant probably only roughly 10 games of Wings coverage on TV until the playoffs started.

NBC and Versus is it for these people. So, be thankful for what you have.

And here I got all excited when NHL.com's schedules earlier today showed Games 3 & 4 starting at 7:00pm ET.
