Zenithian 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 The Wings were definitely not happy with thier effort in Game 1; I'm anticipating a much better effort this afternoon. I think the Wings will take this one in convincing fashion!

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 The Wings have an overwhelmingly winning record when I watch playoff games this year (4-2, thank you very much Versus), so we're all set. Have. No. Fear. The Wings won't!

Salviaman 104 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Wings will win this game. Powerplay will still be atrocious though. Red Wings: 4 (Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Franzen, Cleary) Sharks: 2 (Guerin, Grier)
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Apparently Mark Bell will be playing in game 2: http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=30060...mp;service=page ["We've got to bring a lot more to the table offensively if we want to be successful in this series," said Wilson. He's reinserting Mark Bell into his lineup to try and boost the offence. "He's played a lot in the past against the Red Wings and he's hungry to get back in there," Wilson said.]
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Hopefully they can pull themselves together and no collapse for 3 minutes like they did in period 1 of game 1. They did not play that bad in game 1 as they could of easily scored 4 goals, but they could not get a REBOUND. Key to series of take the shot as soon as you get it and get a REBOUND, pretty simple. They need to win this one.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 Our boys had a meeting today. Watching videos and all... Off Day for Wings Dominik Hasek says that the Wings worked on rebounds and second-shot opportunities during practice, and he says the Wings had a team meeting, watched video of the game, and were pleased that they had good scoring chances. He's asked about how he relaxes whne he returns home, and Hasek says he simply doesn't watch the game, gets ready for practice, and gets ready for the next game;

Butt End 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I am really disappointed to see Mark Bell back in the lineup. I guess they figure they are paying him so much they should justify it. All we heard this year was how maybe he sucked but he just needed time to adjust. He just needed to get past his legal difficulties. He would become a factor in the playoffs. None of that happened. Joe Pavelski did get knocked around a bit in game one, but at least he's creative offensively. Mark Bell is lost on this team.

Frankly I'd rather see Mark Smith, who hasn't played a game in approximately 2 months, in the lineup than Mark Bell. At least Smitty plays with heart. Bell is a black hole of suckiness that drags everyone down with him. Ugh. He's worse than useless, he will be an active benefit to the Wings.
