Wings Injury Update

Holmstrom is going to see an eye specialist tomorrow, and if all goes well they are going to try and get him on the plane so he can play in Game 4. *crosses fingers*

Lebda is aiming for Game 5. He said if it were the regular season he'd be out 4-6 weeks... yikes. Luckily, Quincey is doing a great job filling in. Get better soon, Lebs!

keeping my hopes up for homer, i cant see lebda coming back soon, but im not TOO worried as quincey has been playing simple defensive hockey, and has been extremely sturdy

I do not understand what is with Lebda. Is it from the concussion or ankle? It cant be the ankle because he was playing through that and he didnt miss any time until the concussion. Why oh why wasnt Langkow suspended???

Didn't he injure the ankle on the same play?

Yeah, he hurt he ankle as he went into the boards during his hit on Langkow. Then Langkow suckerpunched him and gave him the concussion. All one in the same.............unfortunately.

If we could get Homer back in Game 4 and then Lebda back in Game 5, I think we will see a good Wings victory in this series.

The Wings need Holmstrom back, badly. As I've said in other threads, it seems like the media isn't giving him enough credit. He's a 30 goal scorer and causes boatloads of problems for the opposing goalie.

Forget the PBR, I think Cleary found the toughest 8 seconds if sports right there. As for Langkow I think I heard knews of him pushing a cripple down a flight of stairs later on that night.

DetNews

“It’s going to hurt, so it’s a matter of not making a mistake because of it.”

I don't like the sound of that at all. Quincey has done very well in Lebda's absence. Of course I'd rather have Lebda in there, but not at the cost of his injury directly causing some scoring chances (and possibly even a goal). It's just not worth it since Quincey has been solid.
