BringHomeTheCup! 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 Is anyone else upset that FSN didn't carry the first two games? And from the looks of it, they don't have tonights game either. This drives me nuts. I've got Dish Network, and in order for me to watch the games, I'd have to upgrade my package, they want an extra $10 a month for a bunch of usless channels. The only time I would ever want VS is when the Wings are on. WTF!!!!!

Vladiator 116 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 Hope this is on FSN because my VS digital and HD feeds for the Devils/Senators game on right now is all messed up.

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 My guide says the game is on FSN tonight.... Versus only envoked its exclusive coverage for games 1 and 4 of this series.
joey_corleone 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 This is infuriating and very bad news for me. I myself have Comcast digital cable, with an HDTV. When it is on both FSN and versus, versus gets blacked out for me. The problem is that Versus has it on their HD feed, versus-HD, and FSN doesn't hardly ever televise road games in HD. So, I am stuck with the crappy SD feed once again.
cadmonkey 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Can't believe I'm just finding this forum, but I must submit my protest at Versus exercising exclusivity on the games. WHAT IN THE HECK IS THE NHL THINKING?!?! Just a few years ago we got no hockey - fans were lost. Now, instead of promoting the games, putting as many in prime time for easy access to gain as much of a viewer/fan abse as they can, they let a premium channel snap up exclusivity and hang us loyal fans and local broadcasters, who watch all season, show the games that few people who don't follow the teams want to see out to dry. Thanks very much NHL and Versus. Now I have to go to a bar to see the playoffs - the time of year when you have the highest profile and the best chance to gain viewers. And will the bar make any extra money - NOPE. I don't drink anymore. And I refuse to pay a premium for a cable channel that I am going to watch (as of current count 2 times) in a season. Round 3 better be against a Canadian team so that CBC carries it since THAT is a basic cable channel here in Northwest Ohio. I long for the days when Ken and Mick were on Channel 50 and they carried every (nearly) game for the local audience. Out of curiosity - did Versus go exclusive on any other teams or just our beloved Wings? Thanks for letting me vent folks. Carry on. GO WINGS!

I think it would be good if Versus and NBC let the local commentators call the games..not the assclowns they have that didn't travel with the team all season long. For instance if the game was in San Jose everyone would see Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda and if the game was in Detroit everyone would see whoever you guys have...I'm too lazy to look it up. Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Ugh... f*** Versus. Think I'm missing the game tonight unless somebody can figure out what's wrong with Sopcast.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 I was pretty sure FSN Detroit only had coverage in Games 3, 6, and 7. I thought Versus had exclusive coverage for Games 1 and 4, and NBC for Games 2 and 5. I hope I am wrong because I really can't tolerate those bozos on Versus. Either way, go get 'em Wings! cadmonkey 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 That is correct. I can't stand Versus either, but I want to see the game.
