Draperfan 104 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 um, i luv the wings as much as the next guy, but the wings sure as hell didnt prove they were the better team last nite. hasek proved that he's back to the hasek of old, and the wings proved that they can steal games even when theyre off. one game doesn't prove who the better team. how go does it feel to finally turn the tables from the last 4 playoff years where we were the team that was dominating but the other teams goalie was killing us??? its a good sine and i think the hockey gods are on our side.. wings in 5 good post,if theres any team that scares me its the Ducks,i too think that Detroit got lucky lets hope they have 3 more lucky wins in this series Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But I also don't think the refs should or did allow previous games to influence calls in this one. I just thought it was funny that the wings got so fabulously screwed by the refs. Thankfully it wasn't a decisive factor in the outcome of the game. I agree that the Ducks got away with a lot. I hope the officiating gets better because it's surprising that this wasn't a decisive factor in the game. I wouldn't want the Ducks to get carry over calls from the last round, and any true fan would agree. I don't agree that there were make up calls from last series, but I do think the refs just missed a lot of Duck penalties last night. NO MAKE UP CALLS....I HATE THEM, even if they're for the ducks....it just makes you worry and play differently. I also think refs should call penalties like the normally do on PPs so that you don't get away with much more when you're on the PK.....granted we did get a 5-3 which I don't know if it was justified or not as I did not see the game(heard it) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And you guys didn't win.... we let you. Thornton is in serious debt becasue of some bad bets he placed in the Kentucky Derby, that's why we threw that last game. Dude, you're obviously not very bright. The Wings have been getting a lot of penalties called on us. We've had like 5 or 6 five on threes this playoffs. RedWings 79 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 Most of the ducks fans quoted are really understandable I was on LGW in 2003 for the Ducks series and the wings fans were saying similar arguments... Our goals were lucky and we were outplayed during the 2 first periods... Datsyuk line was great, but we had a lot of problems to generate danger with the 3 other lines... We were too defensive minded after our first goal and overall we were outshooted, which is extremely rare... I'm delighted we won, this means we won't live again 2003 cauchemar, but Wings definitely have to step up if they wanna win the series. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
