What a crock of ... It

What a f*n joke.

Chelios-thug? Funny.

But Niedermayer? That's a suprise to see him cross-checking guys. Even sent an elbow to Pavel's head.

Of course, he's a psuedo-tough Ducks player who knew Datsyuk wouldn't do anything back. You don't see any of them cross-checking or shoving Bert or Lilja after the whistle do you?

Bunch of ******* with "tough guy" name tags just like Calgary. Cheap s*** after every whistle on the guys they know won't fight back (Maltby, Draper, Dats, etc.) The only guy I give credit to is Thornton for at least going after a guy who'll fight in Markov.

Zamboni

So when did you jump on the Ducks bandwagon?

Im guessing shortly after the Lakers got bounced and just before the Ducks advanced.

Did all of your Kings friends "fans" jump on with you? Im guessing yes.

You've got it all wrong. I have watched the ducks since their inception in 93 guy. I've been an avid follower of hockey since 78 when i started to enjoy watching the great islanders teams of the 70's early 80's. Spent a great deal of time at the Forum watching kings games as i grew up and have always been a big fan of the sport. When the ducks came to town i started watching and have been a ducks fan since that day. I would say a small number of kings fans watch hockey at the HC but most are very loyal to their kings and frequent only staples center. You're dead wrong calling me a bandwagon fan,but have at it,i'm a dedicated ducks fan so it doesn't bother me in the least what uninformed response i hear from opposing fans.

Pretty garbage no-call. This isn't NHL 94 where you could just push the goalie into the net and the goal would count:

IPB Image

Here's the rule, not sure if anyone has posted it yet...didn't read the whole thread:

"69.6 Rebounds and Loose Pucks - In the event that a goalkeeper has been pushed into the net together with the puck after making a stop, the goal will be disallowed. If applicable, appropriate penalties will be assessed."

Pretty clear-cut that we got hosed worse than Davey in the Mountain Dew commercial:

That said, the fact that that goal was BS doesn't mean we would've won 3-2. Anaheim likely would've come on the offensive late in the game, and there's at least a decent chance they would've put one in anyway.

We've gotta play better to win this series, particularly 5 on 5. I'm encouraged that the power play looks like a real unit again and that Hasek is still playing great. The Ducks have brought their "A" game, and we haven't seen it out of Detroit yet (save for our goalie). We're pretty fortunate to not be down 0-2 in this series....it's a shame that a BS goal like that came into play, but we really need to play better all around.

Heck, if Dats doesn't miss the net by an inch early in OT, no one even cares about Dom being pushed into the net.

We can play MUCH better (especially the Gumptuzzi line). If the Wings step it up, we'll win the series. If not, then we won't (obviously) short of a super-human effort from our goalie. We've gotten out-played but we have had a lot of great scoring chances.

Just gotta get a split in Anaheim and we're fine.....

That is the rule, unfortunately the video goal judge was only allowed to determine whether or not the puck crossed the line. Of course that means the original call by the on-ice officiators indisputable.

No, I am not a Wings fan, I'm an Oilers fan. However, I can see how seriously flawed and void of logic the NHL rules are.

This was a colossal blunder which really should have resulted in NO GOAL and a Penalty for goaltender interference.

Sadly though, the NHL officiating is so poorly guided or biased that mistakes like this can't be overruled by goal judges or video review.

This goal ultimately cost Detroit a 2-0 series lead, which is simply unforgivable. Seems like they've been putting the real effort into the Ottawa vs. Buffalo series.

Anyhow, I'm sure the Wings will battle back, they series may be tied up, you may be heading back to Anaheim, but I can't see the Wings losing to the likes of Perry, Pronger and Salami.

KILL THEM!

Btw, working on a little photoshop picture for you guys :) Good luck in the rest of the series and thanks for knocking Calgary out. I thoroughly enjoyed that :)

You guys need to quit whining about all that shiite. Hasek didn't have control and they obviously didn't lose sight of the puck.

Its obvious that your eye doctor is the same as the officials, because your just as blind as they are. The lazy bastards had no damn problem blowing the whistle after that. Any time even motion toward the puck they blew it dead even when he was trying to keep it in play or didn't you watch the same game. If the Ducks players weren't blowing the refs in between periods you would be.
