Guest jaytan Report post Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) Why celebrate an injury to another team's player? Hell, I don't care if Pronger and Neidermayer accidentally sandwich Giguere at practice and all three of them get knocked out of the playoffs.... All that would do is cheapen a potential victory, make a potential loss even more painful and make the series less exciting. Injuries are a part of the game - especially in the playoffs (just look at our squad), but good teams overcome them, and classy fans don't cheer them on. The Mighty Ducks have been lucky enough to stay relatively healthy throughout these playoffs. If we can play with them without Schneider et al., they can play with us without Kunitz. motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) Can someone tell me why i'm hearing Duck fans boo-hoo'ing over the loss of Kunitz. Gimme a break. Let's talk Detroit injuries... Who cares, aren't the Ducks so DEEP, and friggin' stacked? ... lose a guy, replace him. That's what the Wings have been doing. Cry babies. superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 The hell if I care about Kunitz right now. I am pleased that he is injured. But that is because I am a Wings fan who wants to see his team win, not because I want Kunitz to get/or to be hurt. Fact is, with Kunitz out, Anaheim lacks one of their major young stars therefore making life easier for the Wings. So Duckette, before you speak, think about what you're saying. Zion 93 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I still think Getzlaf is by far their best forward.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Kunitz is a good player. He'll be missed. Heck, if we go back to last year, he was actually placed on waivers twice. The Ducks did it initially, and he was claimed by the Atlanta Thrashers. A few days later, Atlanta placed him back on waivers and he was re-claimed by Anaheim. If we go by that book, the Wings could have actually had him. At the time though, no one really thought he'd be much more then a minor leaguer, so who only knows if he would have made it here.
