"I'm not sure that Scotty Niedermayer 's 100 percent. He doesn't look right. He's not skating the same way, he's not handling the puck the same way. He's competing, and he's caring. But he looks hurt." -- Pierre McGuire , of TSN, after Anaheim's Game 4 victory

nothing to loose sleep over... we'll see next game...but a hurt niedermayer can still be a very dangerous player...

just thought i'd throw it out there...explains why filppula made him look so ordinary last game.

Why not throw it out, period. He's fine, Val is just that quick... A lot of people speculate that their fav. players' subpar performance must be due to an undisclosed injury ;) .

no, Val is quick, but Nidermeyer hasnt looked like his usual self.... on the one play when Val was coming down the boards, Nidermeyer would have normally put his body infront of him.. but he was hesitant and opted to use his stick instead... i bet he's beat up..

im sorry but if you make a thread at least take the time to see how to spell the name you are writing on the topic,

its NIEDERMAYER.

Not trying to mean just think its a good idea to spell the name right thats all.

If Flip got by him twice, he must be injured, I see the logic now.

Maybe its because Lidstrom is on the ice, and we can actually compare him to what a Norris defensman is really all about :)

maybe that's true, the overhyped love couple, pronger and niedermayer, got so much attention that the media forgot that they seem so ordinary in the shadows of the the great Lidstrom....

WTF? Love couple? They don't even play on the same line except for the PP

never said they did, but all you hear from the media is "Pronger and Neidermayer this....Neidermayer and Pronger that", hell they make them sound like Angelina and Brad....

I am not too worried about Scott Niedermayer or Chris Pronger as een with Pronger out of game 4 the Ducks won....I think the biggest impact Niedermayer for the Ducks has been Rob. He made a difference in game 4, but with him being ejected in game 3 that would explain the outcomes of both games a little.

I think you mean Niedermayer. And that's not all I ever hear. All I ever hear is butt kissing for the Sabres, Red Wings, Canucks (that made me SO sick) and the Pens. Thats all I get here in Florida, if not that, Tampa Bay butt kissing.

at least you get something in florida, i lived in ft. walton beach near pensacola for 6 yrs and there was no hockey talk...well, except for the minor league team in p-cola....so i feel you there, it sucks for any hockey fan in florida...

Don't expect too much. Many people still have trouble spelling Fedorov's name.

But yeah, I'd agree.

This far into the playoffs everyone is either returning from injury or hurt in some way shape or form. The idea is to have the heart to push through those injuries or have enough talent beforehand to were you can afford to play at 80-90%.

Strange. You can't find anyone who likes McGuire - yet he keeps his job. There has never been a man born who loves the sound of his own voice more than him. And he makes you feel he's actually talking crap most times, the way he always talks like he's actually "in the know".

Well you live in Florida - so Ducks coverage is not their top priority (nor hockey at all). Most of the media analysts picked the Ducks to win this series - go watch Melrose clips on ESPN.com. They love the Ducks - so I don't think you can cry about your team not getting enough love...

At least the Ducks got something right by signing Niedermayer - I have alot of respect for him as a player. You won't see him head hunting anyone out there. Hurt? I doubt it - he's just had a few bad games - and give the Wings some credit too.
