Getting Excited after game 5...

Actually, this is the 35th playoff win Ive gotten to see from the Duck in the last four seasons. More than any other NHL team over that stretch. And I've see many more when the team was still in Winnipeg.

Get out yer razors, wings.

Wow. This is grade "A" stupidity at it's finest.

Anaheim is an EXPANSION team. For God sakes, the Winnipeg Jets moved to Phoenix and became the Coyotes. How do you not know this? For someone coming on here claiming he's a hockey fan and then saying this is a joke.

And furthermore, the Jets were not a very sucessfull team in Winnipeg. They never went to a Cup final, and even in the days of Dale Hawerchuk (who you probably have never heard of) they were still a mediocre team. If you knew anything, anything at all about hockey, you would know this. But no, because you are nothing more then a bandwagoning loser that insists on trolling, you don't.

Even if it doesn't happen, I'm happy that this team made a lot of people shut up about how they can't go far because they're "old and slow", but Anaheim is having trouble keeping up...great effort, very proud of the Red Wings.

Absolutely.

Were 2 games from the cup finals. Thats nothing to sneeze at.

Good job boys, Im proud. Now go wing two more.

Anaheim won this many cups over the past 4 seasons when they had more playoff wins than any other team over the stretch. "What is ZERO, Alex" Correct

I think the reason most of us are upset and sad is not because we lost game 5, but rather, how we lost it. We were inches and seconds away from having a 3-2 series lead. THAT is what hurts. If we lost 3-1 or something, it would have sucked, but it wouldn't even come close to hurting like this loss did. If we put up a valiant effort on Tuesday but still lose, I'll be pissed but hey, as long as we put an effort I'll be content. Just don't go blowing any leads or anything cause then I might feel worse then I do now and I dont even know how thats humanely possible.

We can do this guys....if you remember, after we lost game 2 (which was also in OT) we came back to the pond to beat them 5-0! If they can win two in a row, so can we.

LETS GO WINGS! WINGS IN 7!!!!

flashback..

one week from 4 years ago... Colorado defeats Detroit at Joe Louis Arena in overtime with a score of 3-2 taking the series lead of 3 games to 2. Colorado never scored again and June 13th was an historic day.

just thought i'd bring that up.

speaking of history isnt this looking like the series when u guyz beat the sharks?

sorry had to comment on this.... ducks won zero stanley cups so far and the red wings won a bunch but what is funny is that the ducks have been given the red wings no easy wins this series (except for Game 3) so lets not go there and how many years have the red wings been in the NHL compared to the Ducks total seasons?....
