Optimism vs. reality

Haha some of you guys are just sad. You act like the Red Wings are your God in some sort of sad religion. Would it be sweet if the Wings won the cup? You bet. Is it the end of the world if they don't? Not even close. 35,000 people will die of starvation and disease tonight. We are arguably closer than ever at this point in history of seeing major nuclear war than at any other point before. There are a lot more important things in the world to worry about and accomplish than beating the Ducks 2 games in a row. I think it is plain stupid and superstitious to pretend like having faith in the Wings will somehow allow them to win. It doesn't matter if you sit at home and say the wings are going to lose or the wings are going to win. This isn't Never Never Land, you have no power over the outcome of a hockey game no matter how much you wish it to be so. I of course will get flamed after making this post but some of you people are plain ridiculous. You cannot will the Wings to win and not having blind faith in a hockey team to win a game doesn't mean you aren't a fan. Some of you really need a life.

We are not on a board that is talking about world hunger. We are not on a board that is dicussing nuclear war,we are on a hockey board. We want to root for the Wings and thats why we are on THIS BOARD.Why in the hell should it bother you if we do want to will them to win so what.

Your right if they win nothing in the world will change, for the better or worse except that we Wings fans will get to be proud of a hockey team that was not supposed to win.We will have bragging rights for the summer. It's our little piece of heven on earth.

Don't worry all the loom and gloom is still gonna be there after it's all over and the ice melts.I guess then we can go back to worring about the end of the world, just right no though we like the world the playoffs put us in ok.We will get back to reallity soon enough.

I think it's interesting that u note that one of the reasons u don't have faith is because we outplayed them and still lost twice. Hello?! I'd much rather have outplayed them and lost than played like crap and lost, because it atleast shows that we have consistantly been the better team. It also shows we have the talent and drive to win this series in 7. 2 od the games we lost were close, and could have easily gone the other way. Ponit being, luck bounces around, the Ducks have had the majority of it, now it the Wings turn. Get some faith, and don't count them out.... although I kinda hope the Ducks will count them out, it will make it easier for us to win. But I'm sure they're not counting us out, (like u and the Duck's fans). Wings in 7!!!!!!!!!!!

GO WINGS!!!
