Herr Hockey 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 This has been a phenomenal year so far, and it has felt better than any season since '02. As we all know, and would rather not be reminded, the Wings are facing elimination tomorrow night in Anaheim. Yesterday was the most painful Wings' loss I can remember in a long time, and I'm still feeling pretty depressed about it. All I want is for the Wings to win game 6. I just want to be able to feel the feeling that I would feel with a game 7 just over the horizon. I would absolutely love to feel that excitement one more time. Work your hearts out tomorrow, and just give me that feeling one more time, then let the hockey God's take care of game 7. Whatever the outcome of a game 7 might prove to be, I would feel less cheated if the Wings were able to win tomorrow, and all I really ask for is to feel that feeling of excitement one more time. Who's with me? And I end this post with this....

aarond 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 This series has played out so far exactly like the Avs series in 02. The Wings lost games 3 and 5, losing game 5 in OT, falling behind in the series 3-2. As it turned out, Forsberg's OT winner was the last goal of the season for the Avs as Hasek pitched two shutouts to close out the series in 7. So there is a precedent. Herr Hockey 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 My worst fear is the Wings playing their hearts out and being unable to beat a stellar Gigure, peppering him with shots down by a goal in the final minute of the game. Please Wings, don't let that happen.
Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 It won't I think and I have always thought that the wings play best facing elimination...then again that could be said of many teams, but I have faith the Wings will do it tomorrow.

Guest jaytan Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I'm not feeling too confident about this one, but I'll be watching on the edge of the couch until they're shaking hands at center ice.
ZAMBONI 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 Like Babs said "If players continue to do good things, good things will happen!" The wings aren't done by a longshot. They have far too much skill and veteran leadership. They have just as much ability as the ducks to take two games,by bounces or skill as they have proven. I gotta hand it detroit fans you guys don't take shots at your players and live and die with them till the end for the most part. Great site also, you guys really love the game and give the wings faithful a nice place to post.
Guest bullocks Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I'm not feeling too confident about this one, but I'll be watching on the edge of the couch until they're shaking hands at center ice. my t.v. will be flying out the window at that point lol My worst fear is the Wings playing their hearts out and being unable to beat a stellar Gigure, peppering him with shots down by a goal in the final minute of the game. Please Wings, don't let that happen. I don't think that will happen. We either win, or it goes into OT. The only thing i'm worried about is playing two great games and not comming out as strong the next game, OR anaheim playing one of there best games.
