HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 LMAO. I'm sorry, but this was hilarious. The Wings did dominate so Brett has every reason to say what he did. People will think it's just because he played here and what not. Not the case. He was dissing the Wings against the Sharks and such when they didn't play their game. The man just speaks the truth. Guest Crymson Report post Posted May 22, 2007 http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=208457&hubname=nhl Pretty much everything he says is true or believeable. Well, maybe not everything. Hullie was here the last time we did it. Those with keen eyes would notice that Hull had been predicting against the Wings for the entire playoffs, up to this very set of comments. Wings3:16 318 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle was asked if Hull's comments affected him. "None what so ever," Carlyle said. Yeahhh like he's gonna say something like "Yes, his comments hurt me, I don't think we can win now". Gotta love things like that
ltgator333 3 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Put your money where you're mouth is Brett and get out you're skates... I think watching that game sunday really reminded me how much this team misses having a sniper like Brett Hull was. They really don't have a pure goal scorer anymore. They could've used one Sunday. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 I was listening to Sporting news radio on 97.1 with Artie Spaniard and that guy was absolutely brutal on the ducks despite being stationed in California. He said there fan base was a joke and he bet if you asked the average person in Anaheim about hockey they wouldn't even know they had a team let alone that they're currently in the playoffs. YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 i hope this don't make the ducks madder.... I do. Theyll take more boneheaded penalties. But to be honest, I doubt they give a s***.
Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 I love it how Hull was saying we would be really lucky to make it out of the first round, and now he is saying this. It reminds me of the Rangers/Sabers game where he flip floped his view on the "Distinct kicking motion" of that goal once his co-anchors sided together on the call. He said there fan base was a joke and he bet if you asked the average person in Anaheim about hockey they wouldn't even know they had a team let alone that they're currently in the playoffs. You can tell that's true just by the number of Ducks fans on this board. I've lived here since 88 and the majority of people could care less about hockey. The hockey fans that I find are mostly transplants like me. And a good number of the people at the Ducks game tonight are really LA Kings fans.
