Emery is a great goalie, far better than Giguere, IMO. What will kill the Yucks is Ottawa's unbelievable ability to generate goals, they are a scoring machine. Unlike our Wings, unfortunately.

Giguere is much better than Emery

Great jump here. Oh how I wish we had that in the first...

Keep it up boys. If nothing else, we can walk out of here with our heads held high.

Yeah I know what you mean. But which season was it that he was called up for Grand Rapids and was a frickin machine playing for the Red Wings before he broke his leg. Was it 2004? I cant remember. Im cautiously optimistic that he could just be a late bloomer though. After all the injuries Jiri Fischer had, it took him a good 4 years to get back to his rookie form where he was awesome. Im holding out on that for Kronner.

That's what I'm hoping too. Next season will be the key, I think. If he can avoid another freak injury, he should be solid on our blue line. One thing that hurts with all his injuries is that I think it's stunted his physical game (kind of like when Fisch plowed Sedin through the glass psychologically stunted his for a bit); he's not as confident playing the body, lest it result in another injury. Hopefully he can get past that with good conditioning and good recovery practices.

Wrong. With all the speed and skill Ottawa has, Jiggy's lateral movement will be exposed. Did you see how much lateral movement Miller had to do in order to keep the Sabres from getting blown out each night? Agility and flexibility are what it takes to beat that 1st line of the Sens. Giguere doesnt have that.
