He's proven his worth more times then I can count. Also, I agree the road will be hard but the Wings are completely out of this round. And this isn't the first time Lily being a rapist has been mentioned and I'm sick of it! That has NOTHING to deal with hockey or the thread so drop it! justheducks 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Heres what i think the Red Wings should do during the offseason Resign Mathieu Schneider to around the same contract he has around 3.5 mil* Resign Danny Markov to another one year deal around 2.5 mil* Resign Kyle Calder around 2.5 mil Resign Chris Chelios 900,000 Resign Hasek and give him a raise im not sure how much Let Lang and Bertuzzi go Sign Anson Carter around 2.5 mil Go hard after Ryan Smyth and give him anywhere from 5-6mil * If they dont resign Schenider and Markov maybe go after Sheldon Souray, or Robyn Regher if Calgary lets him go Isn't a lil early to be talking offseason? I mean you can at least wait til tonight when you are at least officially out of the playoffs As a Ducks fan looking at your team I would not give Calder 2.5 million or resign Hasek. As good as Hasek has played I think the Wings should get another younger goalie. Possibly sign and trade Lang somewhere. Even though he has played horrible for how much hes getting. I think you guys signing Smyth would be an absolutely great move! As a opponents fan I am shaking in my boots with Smyth and Holmstrom in front of the net on the powerplay O MAN thats lethal! Why do think he gets traded every other mounth? Also: You guys all need to calm down. It's just a possible offseason plan put into a thread for discussion. I guess you must have hopped on the Wings bandwagon after the playoffs started. STFU and check your facts before you lambast players. Calder was one of the best players on the Wings when he was first aquired. His hand injury is what is slowing him down, not because he is useless. If you would have actually watched the Wings, you would know this. By the way, seeing as how you also spelled Ryan Smyth wrong, you are a bandwagon fan. Hudler will probably get traded in the off season , At least I think so , Babcock has no faith in him at all, He could go to a non-hockey city with Quality minutes , he could be a 30 goal scorer. Just not here. I'd make a bid for Smyth , but not 6 million. No souray , let him to to the Kings or the Sharks. I'm suprised at the amount of *stupid* ideas going around to trade Draper. He's one of the original Wings, and is still a very effective player at what he does.
