After your team is eliminated...who do you root for?

Why would I want to root for another team.

I hope the NHL/VERSES aren't counting on this "barn burner" of a series boosting ratings. If I do catch any of the games(not going to loose any sleep because of Cali time) it would be to look for "THE MIGHTY GEESE" to duplicate there last cup final performance and choke again.

I guess there will be some high lights though.........watching the ice girls lubing the net so Giggles doesn't get his overstuffed ass stuck in the net between periods, and listening to shlonger cry about his treatment from the Canadian media.

Alright, I like the ducks because they fight but I hate a couple players.

I like the Sens because it snows there, but I hate a couple of their players too.

Either way hopefully more enforcers will b around next year

if the ducks had deserved to win, then I'd be rooting for them.

the simple fact that luck was on their side doesn't mean they should be rewarded with my support.

go sens!

In this particular situation, I am torn. I hate Ottawa with more passion than any other NHL team. I don't hate the Ducks, but I do hate Pronger, and the Nieds twins. As far as Ottawa is concerned, I hate Alfredsson, Heatly, Emry, Comrie, McCammond, Fisher, Redden, ect... I do really like Corvo, and Spezza. With the Ducks, I actually like just about everyone but the aforementioned players, oh, and Marchment. I'm a huge Selanne fan, and Getz is just gunna be ridiculous in the next few years. I'm pulling for the Ducks. If for no other reason than it'll cost someone that much more to sign Giggy next year.

In a situation like this, where your team is eliminated and the other team moves on to the finals, do you:

1. Root for the team that eliminated you, so that your team lost to the champs?

or

2. Root for the other team to lay the smack down on the team that eliminated you?

3. Buy a big box of sleeping pills from Costco, then wake up in July and cheer for the GM.

I now wish the Sabres would of made it because I actually like them.

I'm not rooting for the Ducks that's for sure. I don't care for the Sens either... whatever I suppose. Go Sens.

There's other teams that I'm fond of, or don't mind . But I don't think I could truly root for them . I'm a Red Wings fan and after they get eliminated the only thing I want too see is a great game of Hockey. As for the SCF's this season I want the Sens too win, but that got more to do with my dislike of the Ducks than my support of the Sens.

I am a hockey fan, but I would be a fool to say I look at all teams the same. I hate the Devils, but really thats the only team I hate with a passion. Last season, I enjoyed the playoffs up through the end of the SCF. I really didn't root for one team or another. I just wanted to see a good game. I would have been happy with either team winning it all.

This year, I am split between both teams. I know Chris Kunitz from the ducks personally. I did many stories on him as well as photos from his days back at Ferris State. So part if me likes the ducks a lot. Then, on the other side, Ottawa has dealt with a lot of hard times and a Canadian team should with the Stanley Cup eventually. I wouldn't mind seeing them win either.

I am just going to enjoy the games. :)

its a long summer without hockey. Might as well enjoy them when you can.

I really hope Anaheim gets their asses handed to them. The cup has more business being in Canada than it does in California. People here in So Cal would probably try to mount a Lakers back board on it.

 What's funny is a few of my friends who are Kings fans are in the front row on the Ducks bandwagon. They are not true Kings fans, and here's why. A student in my wife's class is a true Kings fan and is sick to his stomach that the Ducks might actually win a cup before the Kings. He's all about the Sens right now.

This year I could care less about the team that beat us getting the cup. Most people in Anaheim could care less about hockey. The majority of people in So Cal would rather go watch the LA Galaxy play soccer. I'm not saying all, but I am saying the majority. Plus I really don't like Pronger so GO SENS!!
