Why is it that everyone thinks accounting is the bad guys? We have this salesman that always makes me look like the one annoying him for a PO from the customer when he knows that we require them. Guess I need to live up to my reputation and keep on him until he straightens out!

Let's play "How Would You Have Handled This?"

Let me give you some background. I work weekend graves in a c-store. We are on the south side of an interstate. North of the interstate is a residential area that can best be described as "upper middle class". They stay on their side of the I, except at night, when we are the only c-store open.

On my side of the I, we have businesses to the west and low-income housing to the east. Since we're the only place open, lots of people use us as a sort of meeting place. We have some "working girls" who come in, and there is all sorts of activity that I know NOTHING about that happens on the side of the building (and I intend to keep knowing NOTHING about all activities not happening in my store).

In general there is a problem with the high school/college age girls from the north. They come in dressed in short short skirts and shorts, high heels, and shirts where you can see their undergarments. They wear way too much make-up, have wild hair colours, and whine and swear loudly and act as if the world revolved around them.

The only real difference between the high school/college girls and the hookers is that the girls pay with large bills and the hookers pay with large bills and food stamps.

The other difference (and this varies greatly) is the attitude. The girls from the north act as though you are beneath them. The working girls realize that if they get ugly, old, or fat, they'll end up working in a c-store, so they have a bit of compassion.

Lots of times guys try to hire the girls from the north by mistake. The girls get uppity and act all insulted because it's their "right" to dress however they want to and people are somehow supposed to just know whether or not they are whores.

So last night there was a bunch of college aged guys hanging around and one came in and told me that the others were harassing a girl and I should kick them all out. Since he was one of that group, I figured he was joking. That group comes in a lot, and they have strange senses of humour.

So this girl comes in, except she's not a girl. She's at least 30. She's dressed not just like a hooker, but like a really cheap hooker. I've never seen her before, so I don't know if she's new or if she's just passing through or what. When she came in, she was mumbling "******* assholes".

I asked if they guys were bothering her. She said no. They were just asking how much, like she'd want to do them. I honestly couldn't tell if she was turning them down because they weren't good enough or if she wasn't a hooker.

I told her that if they were bothering her, I'd tell them to leave. She said no, they weren't bothering her.

So after she left, I called the kid who had come in over and asked if she was a hooker or if she was just dressed like one. He laughed. He said he didn't know for sure, but thought she was. I told him to tell his friends that they can't be harassing girls in front of the store and if they kept it up, they'd have to leave.

They hung out some more and then left. So what do you think? Should I have kicked them out?

I would've pleaded the 5th and say "I know or hear nothing." :P

But this is coming from a guy that likes to not hear or know much and hates drama within 1000 yards of him. :)

A friend of mine recently said, "Hey guess what?!" Then he immediately told me something else.

I was like, "You gotta let me guess man, that was a question!"

I keep reading the title of the thread about the ****-couver riots as "Mormons at large" Where are we? Salt Lake City?

Ever since I read this I see the same thing....and now we've got the Mormon adds on the right side of the screen that add to it.
