Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Hell yeah! Gotta love that. Although I would have liked to seen a 2 year deal. But Im sure Cheli will probably keep resigning a one year deal for the next 4 years or so, lol. Cheli is the man.

glasgowcelticwing 18 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 I'm really happy with Cheli coming back for at least one more season . The guy's been solid for the Wings all season and has been playing like a 25 year old instead of a 45 year old. Great deal.
Kira 451 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 YAY!!!!!!!! I always said you were going to drag Chris off the ice kicking and screaming at the age of 98.

Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Awesome! He may not be productive in the point department anymore but hes a solid defensemen, even at the age of 45. Glad to see him back for another year, Hes a leader and a contributor. I wish it was 2-3 years though, but a 1 year deal works.
gbdet 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 That is awesome that he's gonna break Roy's playoff game record this coming season! He only neeeds to play in one more playoff game to tie the record (247)

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Hasek will be the next one to be announced most likely. And hope Schneider not too long after that, and before July 1st so we won't have to worry about them going to find a replacement elsewhere.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Sidenote: Remember everyone, "resign" means someone left the team. "Re-sign" means signed again. Cue the mods........
Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 we posted at the exact same time Funny thing was I saw both posts both posted within the same moment, both with 0 replies. I replied to the one with more views and it turned out to be the "duplicate". Sonnuva
Feldmarschall 9 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Holland is on record as having said that he will continue to re-sign Chelios to one-year deals until Cheli retires or Ken is fired. He apparently wasn't kidding.
Legionnaire11 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2007 Good news for the Wings. As much as I hate watching Chelios whine about every little thing, and get away with his share of dirty plays. He's still a heck of an asset to the team and someone that any fan should be proud to be able to root for. FWIW... I signed Chelios to the Preds on NHL 06 at age
