Opie 308 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 (edited) No real surprise here. I think due to his son, it was either LA or Anaheim, and as I said in another post LA has some really talented young goalies. He had said he was very grateful for how the hospital has been taking care of his son, which leaded me to believe he was not leaving Cali, and San Jose doesn't need him, leaving Ana and LA. StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 He got, repotedly 6mil a year for 4 years. If it got into a bidding war he might have been able to get a little more because some stupid gm would throw money at him but not really surprised. Bryzgolov will be gone most likely now though. Someone will get a steal salary-wise with him.
ltgator333 3 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 Not surprised either. A little off topic but someone needs to make some blockbusters and spice the news up a bit.. c'mon this deal's a gimmie.

Opie 308 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 What is the top number this year for salary? Not the cap, but didn't they set a max salary for a player as well?
StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 What is the top number this year for salary? Not the cap, but didn't they set a max salary for a player as well? I believe you can have one playera at 20% of the cap. So if the cap ends up at 49 the top end is 9.8 mil. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.
Opie 308 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 WOW 20% seems like a high mark, I was thinking more like 8-10% WOW
StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 WOW 20% seems like a high mark, I was thinking more like 8-10% WOW I figured it out and I'm right. Because Lidstrom made 7.6 in 06 and the cap was 38 mil and thats 20%.
