Wake up everyone, Giggy has to get his pads checked by the same people that check all the other goalies. The same rules apply to every goalie. So if it's his pad size, why don't we just sign Bryon Dafoe to a lifetime contract, and give him some big pads? No doubt Giggy uses pads on the larger side, but seriously people, he is that good! With the pad size they allow these days, he gets to where he needs to be and there's not a lot of net left to look at. I don't understand how he gets so much grief and Luongo is just as bad. It sounds like they got him a little bit cheaper than he probably could've gotten elsewhere. I'm interested to see what the Ducks blueline looks like next year. They've got $19 mill tied up in Elbows, Haircut and now The Michelin Man. and everyone else on D except those guys and Beauchemin is a UFA. Huskins, Jackman, and Dipenta are interchangeable with any bargain basement free agent Dmen, or any rooks they might have. O'Donnell as the #4 played solid, but its not like he's unreplaceable if he wants too much money (which i seriously doubt he would) They proved they can win with 3 really good defensemen. It looks like Giguere is content in playing in Anaheim for a long while, so good for Gigeure, and good for the Ducks.
