Columbus is a good hockey city. You're judging teams by the color of their... jerseys! :P

I put it badly-- C'bus (and OH in general) is a great sports area, and I'm glad they have a hockey team. I DO have a problem with the color, however-- yep.

You just caNOT expect even the most hardcore, rabid hockey fan in Ohio to get behind a team when the cheer is "Go Blue"! It's just wrong on so many levels.

I find it interesting that Bert wants a longterm contract. Right now his market value is in the toilet so you would think that he would want something real short to prove he's healthy and has a game that's worth a decent contract. This makes me think he doesn't have much confidence that his back is sound.

ROTFLMAO when I think back to Feds' negotiations BITD, and his resultant humoungus, and groundbreaking, contract with the Wings.

Fedorov's contract was not groundbreaking. It was based off a similar deal Joe Sakic signed the same year. Fedorov was the best player in the league at the time, and ended up with a longer term deal that wasn't worth as much per year as Sakic's. Hardly groundbreaking, when you consider that based on the market at the time he was UNDERPAID.
