New Schedule

I just hope the new schedule has the wings playing at least 1 home and 1 away game vs every team. I don't need to see the wings play the blue jackets 8 times next year.

nope, that was shot down. it won't happen. we will play cbj 8 times imo.

It's going to be the same as last season, with eight games against each of the Central Division teams - Columbus, St. Louis, Nashville and Chicago - and playing only one division in the East.

Play at one eastern division and host another eastern division. There will be 5 teams the wings will not see this season.

Remember that crazy home/road/home series we had with the Blackhawks a couple of seasons ago? Three games in a row against one team. That was some messed up scheduling!

Yeah, that's right...forgot about that. I'd rather see a home/home with one division than hosting one and playing another, while leaving the third out in the cold.

Better yet, cut the number of games played within the division back to 6 and go back to the pre-lockout schedule. Yeah, it was imperfect, but it was a helluva lot better than eight games against the likes of Chicago, St. Louis, Columbus and Nashville. <_<

The Red Wings will play at all of the teams from the Northeast Division and host the teams from the Southeast Division. This will complete the three-year cycle following the lockout that the NHL created for non-conference games.

Officially we don't know what the schedule is

Columbus, St. Louis, Nashville, Chicago-8 times each (4 home, 4 away)

Colorado, Edmonton, Minnesota, Vancouver, Calgary, San Jose, Dallas, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Pheonix-4 times each (2 home, 2 away)

We play 2 full divisions in the east 1 time I believe for a total of 10

Game Total

Divisional Games-32

Inner-Conference Games-40

Outer Conference Games-10

Total-82

given the weakness of the central this year, do we even need to turn up in the regular season?

should we just book our #1 seed again and just turn up with a healthy team at the playoffs?
