Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 LA have got a decent D now.. Vishnovsky Blake Johnson Pressing shame it does't matter since they'res no way that they're doing ANYTHING with the beachball as their #1 goaltender
Opie 308 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 I am actually surprised they haven't gone after guy with a little more aggression. I mean who knows maybe they're but we don't see it because they are losing out to higher bidders. But it just seems they are laying back not doing much. Yet it is not like they contended for anything last year. It is too bad they have some really nice talented youngsters. Do you think they are a little gun shy after the Allison, Deadmarsh signings. Afraid to spend money only to have the players barely ever take the ice again.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Well, that's nice, Tommy's back in sunny California. I would have liked to see him in Detroit, but oh, well. Ottawa didn't want him anymore, I guess? Good deal for the Kings.
interminded 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 LA have got a decent D now.. Vishnovsky Blake Johnson Pressing shame it does't matter since they'res no way that they're doing ANYTHING with the beachball as their #1 goaltender I'm sorry, but Blake in LA isn't Blake in Colorado. He's still good, but I don't consider him the elite defenseman he once was.
Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Finally someone doesnt get horribly overpayed. This was a fantastic deal for the Kings. They just got a very quality d-man, for less than 3 mill per year. Great signing.

Aris 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 LA had Drury basically signed yesterday, but when the Briere contract went public Drury asked for a longer deal and they didn't give it to him. LA's been active, they just got screwed by Philly.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 For the amount Preissing signed for, LA made out well. Great signing for the Kings at a great price compared to what other teams are doing.
Grind_Lines_#1_Fan 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 I saw that on TSN, surprised LA didn't get anyone else. Good deal for them
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 (edited) Wow - great deal for the Kings. I had to look twice at the contract Preissing got. I wouldn't be surprised to see LA stlll end up signing Souray at some point too. Preissing is worth way more than he got in today's market. Very nice move by the Kings.
