rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Jeez, with the current signings, JR should hang around for a 5year/80M dollar deal with Anaheim or something.
Feldmarschall 9 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Jeez, with the current signings, JR should hang around for a 5year/80M dollar deal with Anaheim or something. He'd have to sign with Detroit first. Only then would Anaheim take him.

akustyk 84 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Hey! Have some more respect for our former players. Wait, you didn't mean Hull, did you? how could I've meant Hull who was scoring zillion one-timer goals at the end of his career :/ and gave no s*** about doing anything else except talking... and talking... and talking... and talking... yes, Hull fits into the same category. I loved this guys when they bitched about Bettman having no clue what the game is about, but it shortly became boring. and with them doing nothing more than mouthing it quickly stole my whole liking to JR and Hull though, unlike Roenick, Hullie is at least able to say something reasonable on TV. martyrme19 73 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 JR needs to become the face of the NHL in america. He needs to bring the game to the people along with Hull....and god I could only hope Cherry gets smuggled to the US. Those guys are knowledgable, entertaining and are the stereotypical hockey players that we need to showcase in order to appeal to todays market.
Grind_Lines_#1_Fan 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 495 Goals for JR, definetly a great player. I am excited for his second career in sports broadcasting. JR was very controversial over his 18 year career. You either loved JR or you hated him, there was no in between. Although most of his excellent seasons we right beside Tony Amonte in Chicago, I loved JR. Great career, and I think a sure thing for the Hall.
