Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted July 6, 2007 Hmm. I wouldnt have minded Comrie in the winged wheel. But obviously it wasnt meant to be. I hope Kenny snags a forward soon though. Cause the pickens are gettin slim.

I kinda wanted them to sign Comrie because he was one of the few still out there, sure I think he wouldda been ok for the second line but there WAS a lot better than ok out there then it got signed elsewhere. Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted July 6, 2007 Let me guess without reading it.. 12 years, $27m. ahhaa Islanders are known for that aren' they. Well there GM Well another one bites the dust. Didn't really want Comrie in Detroit, but its sad to see that days go by and Holland has pulled the trigger on a signing or a trade.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) ahhaa Islanders are known for that aren' they. Well there GM Well another one bites the dust. Didn't really want Comrie in Detroit, but its sad to see that days go by and Holland has pulled the trigger on a signing or a trade. Mike Milbury, the ridiculous deal monger, is no longer the Islanders GM. The DiPietro 15-year signing, which was the biggest one to happen without Milbury, had nothing to do with Garth Snow, the current GM, anyways. That was mostly a doing by the teams owner, Charles Wang (Who is the 3rd worst owner in the league behind Bill Wirtz and Jeremy Jacobs, by the way).
