Get your s*** together. Although Hnidy doesn't really fight as much as some of the other options like Sutton, he still would have been a great replacement for Markov. If Kenny even had the balls to do that, for one thing, he'd be screwing the Wings for the next 10 years, because it will piss off every GM in the league, just like Bobby Clark and Ryan Kesler. Our RFA's in the future will be in grave risk. It's an unwritten rule: Don't offer up a contract to another teams RFA. For now this doesnt upset me at all. And certainly knows how to put the puck in the net. Really hard shot as well. I used to watch alot of Kings games. And I know one thing. Sopel helps his squad win hockey games. He's definitely a top 4 defenseman, and theres no doubt he would help improve this Wings team. Well , I hope Penner goes to arbitration and Kenny signs him. On another note , If Niedermayer and Selanne dont retire , the Ducks are gonna be stacked next year If they dont retire, either Burke has alot of contract restructuring to do. Im not going to make a Holland bash until I find out what this deal is, but Hnidy wouldve been a good cheaper alternative to Markov i think. Excellent signing by Anaheim, with Niedermayer gone they cant go with Huskins/Dipenta anymore as their 5th/6th. This move gives them strong depth now. I understand your disappointment, but I'm not quite as mad as I thought. Mainly because Hnidy didn't fight last year as much as I had thought. It's still stupid Holland missed out again though!
