KevinD 1 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 he was signed for the team in bridgeport. "The 27 year-old MacDonald will fill the spot vacated by the Islanders signing of Wade Dubielewicz to serve as Rick DiPietro's back-up for the upcoming season."

Seriously though, I'd never give Guerin a contact (did you watch him play in the playoffs this year?!?) Or pay Fedo that much.

"The 27 year-old MacDonald will fill the spot vacated by the Islanders signing of Wade Dubielewicz to serve as Rick DiPietro's back-up for the upcoming season." Dublielewicz is not an easy opponent to take on for the backup role. When DiPietro was injured last season, he surely showed he's up for the task. But I wish Joey all the luck. All that needs happen is for Dub or DiPietro to take a dive for a couple of weeks, and Joey will get some time.

All that needs happen is for Dub or DiPietro to take a dive for a couple of weeks, and Joey will get some time. That's exactly my point. The only playing time Joey would get is when the BOTH would be injured
