Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2007/07/re...is_announc.html In other words, another GR signing. Also notice two new names on there mentioned as signed: Randall Gelech and Garrett Stafford. Never heard of either of them, so it looks like more GR signings. skacore 2 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Ellis is going to compete for a spot on the big team since he'd have to clear waivers to be sent down. Ellis signing was a while ago... a couple weeks now, before free agency Are you sure he has to clear waivers to be sent down? He just signed a two year, two way deal, why would he have to clear waivers to go back to GR?

Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Ellis might get picked up if he goes down... he cleared the end of last year, but that was after the trade deadline
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 You mean when he goes down?
Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 You mean when he goes down? who knows? we'll likely carry 14 forwards, since we wont have three goaltenders like last year..
Icer 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Matt Ellis might stick on the Wings because he's a Mike Babcock type player. He doesn't have a lot of natural talent but he works his ass off. He always hustles and he can play a sound crash and bang game. I don't even think he was drafted by anyone but look at his stats. He's had a caeer high every season as a pro. He's no all star but I think he'll make a decent third or fourth liner in the NHL. hockeydb.com
