"No big deal. I just watched the game. I had the best seats of anyone in the crowd. It was awesome."

Not a bad chunk of change for a guy that hasn't played a second of hockey at the NHL level.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

On the one hand, he could do awesome with Havlat.
On the other, I can see him getting tossed around like a rag doll.

It is not your aptitude, but your attitude, that determines your altitude.

The guy played one season in the "O", I cannot see him even making the pros.

hey, and not a bad chunk of change for a guy who decided to not have an agent either!
Just for the record, the weather today is slightly sarcastic with a good chance of rain.

I'm surprised Wirtz was willing to part with all that money. Kane could potentially make almost 3 million in a very short amount of time.
It's a ridiculous signing in my opinion. I didn't even consider this guy to go #1 overall, as I thought Kyle Turris was better. Kane is pathetically small, and from what I hear, has a bad attitude.
Plus, one season in the OHL doesn't garner anyone anything, especially of the potential money he could make. If he knew what was right, he would have stayed another year.
If he does play in the NHL, he'll get the piss beaten out of him. 5'9, 160 pounds is horribly small.
