Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Good for Trevor, with the Canucks offense being not so great , he'll be counted on a bit more this year.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Good for Trevor, with the Canucks offense being not so great , he'll be counted on a bit more this year. No he won't. Linden hasn't had a decent offensive season in over 10 years now. I like Linden though. If you ask me, he should be the captain in Vancouver, not Naslund. Linden is a true leader and has meant a lot to that city and the fans.

wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Linden is the face of that franchise. he's the all time leading scorer for the Nucks.. IMO this was the right move. he'll play 70 games or so
StaticWithABeat 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Still a good guy to have on the 3rd line, especially on a team that lacks leadership like the Canucks do...they're still probably not getting past the first round unless they add Forsberg and/or another top-sixer. Naslund and Morrison have been steadily fading since they peaked 4 years ago, and the Sedins can't provide all the offense every night. Still, they have nice D and the best goalie in the NHL, so if they miss out on Forsberg I can see them waiting until mid-season or even the trade deadline before doing anything major up front.
