Tanabe sucks, but I'll be he's the one. A small, offensive minded defenseman seems to be the calling card for defenseman on this team.

I'd be all for Todd Simpson or Carins (Carins especially) but I doubt either of them are on the radar.

As for Simpson though: he would definitly be a great fit, because he's tougher then Lilja, and is about the same or better in overall skill. I'd love to see Simpson here, but I have my doubts.

Well I'm pretty sure GM Holland would get roasted if Coffee didn't perk up for the playoffs.

But you also gotta remember if he was left on for a while he might get a bit strong. That said we as a team have a habit of icing our D men for to long, so he may not be able to bring the heat against the glass weither he's strong or not.

With the talk of the Wings needing a new arena, if the Wings won it all wouldnt it be nice to see Coffee drink from what could be the last Cup of the Joe?

Whether he'd blend in or not one things for sure...you cant question his work ethic. Ive heard the guy's up and running at Eight O' Clock every morning.

Coffee? On what grounds are you basing this on? He'd get creamed out there.

From what I've read a fresh Coffee will provide some jump on our D - provided he's a regular so he won't get stale sitting on the bench.

How much are you gonna pay this guy though? With the cap and all, we cant afford to be giving him star bucks.
