I have been curious for a while what most of you guys do for a living..

I am a full time student ..4th and last year of my BA at the University of Alberta. During the summers I work as a cook at a local restaurant.

Anyone else care to share their trade?

Professional Bum. You know, one-step up from those guys that drive by their former high school with their stereo all the way up. I am also going to school, but everyone is pretty much doing that.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Well, I got a BS in Psychology, then a BA in Elementary Education, then 9 grad credits toward Curriculum and Teaching, substitute taught for a year, and got a new job completely unrelated to any of these a week ago. smile.gif

So my new job is a Contract Administrator for a national accounting firm. I basically enter information about clients, contracts and projects into the national database for expense/time sheet records. It pays as much as I would have gotten as a teacher, so it's ok enough. I'm hoping to get into teaching again when the market gets better here though.
And I wonder
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again

5am - 9am: School bus driver telling the kids to shut the hell up every 2 minutes
9am - 2pm: Street vendor bum selling fake watches and chains downtown
2pm - 5pm: Bum at home sleeping and drinking liquor
5pm - 12am: Escort of the local pimp and escort service of my neighborhood

So a good variety of jobs....

And now for the serious answer...

Insider Trading

---------------------------------

And now for the HONEST serious answer (I mean it this time wink.gif)

Graduated from Texas Christian University in May 2004 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in marketing and electronic business.

Moved back home to the New Orleans area that summer and eventually got a job with a small software development company about a 35 - 40 minute drive north of New Orleans. I was originally bought on in a marketing position, I still do that sometime as well as some administration work, but my job has evolved more into project management and building out Web sites and internal portal solutions for clients, and I'm actually liking that a bit better.

It doesn't pay much but I really like the people I work for, I rarely have bad days there, and I have a lot of flexibility at the job; my boss doesn't set many rigid rules, which allows me to enjoy myself there and get my work done my way. Been there for about 2 1/2 years and not quitting anytime soon.

Hell, whats so special about that? laugh.gif... I can acquire debt without students loans just fine... just for residing in this beautiful state... Gov is right, "and in five years you will be blown away" ... It hasn't even been 5 and I am blown away by the suckiness already.
