I am one of those dreaded Financial Advisors. After receiving various financial and business degrees, I went to work with a big financial firm. Made great money, but wasn't very happy. So a friend of mine open his own financial firm and I made the leap over. Basically I am my own contractor, building my own business inside of his. Best move I ever made.

I work for a large advertising agency in Detroit. Fantastic work environment, I don't think any industry or business rivals it.

I was on the path to attorney-land, but an opportunity opened up in a world that always interested me, so I couldn't pass it up. I can always go back to law school - if I want to get another $30K worth of debt!

As you know the market is up and down. But I have some very good picks depending on your financial situation. I am working with one tech company that wants to start its own mutual fund. Their track record is excellent, but it is a risk because they are new to the game. You have to at least $50,000 in liquid assets and be willing to have it tied up for 5 years. This of course is on the high side, but great returns. There are many other opportunities, if you really are interested let me know.

Yeah, I was a rent-o-cop at a hospital in '05. Pretty decent gig. Good pay, good hours. But at the hospital, you had to deal with alot of bulls*** on a daily basis. Especially in the psych-ward.

Which Department?

The Instructional Media Center. Yeah, I'm a grown up A/V geek. But it's a pretty easy-going gig. Been there for 8 years now. And I get free tuition too. biggrin.gif

I'm also a full time student, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in International Relations. I also consider myself a full time soccer player because it pretty much runs my entire life! haha wink.gif I'm hoping to find a sweet job in the CJ field, but for now I work at my parents restaurants on the weekends/breaks from school. It sucks sometimes but at least I know I'll never get fired! tongue.gif

Actually I dont ***** you out. But I do ***** out the Mexicans (not to offend mexicans they are assembled in mexico i believe) that sometimes put to much tape on the wires to hold them together for various parts of installation. Causing my wrist to scream in pain from breaking the tape. i hope you know what I am talking about. Otherwise I must sound crazy.
