Fight in the stands at Joe Louis Tonight!

Anyone that went to the game, did you see what happened late in the third period with the fight in the stands. Leafs Tv showed two dudes sreaming at each other, but I think the fight was broken up before the camera could get there. I was wondering if some A-hole Leafs fan started something like they alwys try to do! Let us know if you have any info!

You could tell something was going on in the 3rd as everyone in front of the camera stood up and look to their right. I figured there must have been a fight, but FSN didn't show anything.

I was suprised Leafs TV showed it actually! I guess Canada shows everything!! I think that is awesome! They game was kinda boring at the time!

Hahaha, my friend just called me about that fight. He was sitting 5 rows behind them. He said some Leafs fans and Wings fans got into and they just started brawling. My friend and his cousin had to grab this lady's purse from her cause she was using it to beat this kid with it. I dunno all the details, but he said it was funny.

Yeah, it was refreshing. It annoys me when watching a sports event on TV and you can hear the crowd cheering/booing and they won't show what's going on because it will "encourage people."

How can anyone be a Leafs fan, let alone get into a fight with a Red Wings fan in Detroit?

If cheering for the Leafs gets you that frustrated that you get into a fight with a Red Wings fan at the Joe, it's time to switch teams. I don't understand how a fan base can continue to allow themselves to be heartbroken every year.

Edit: The Leafs aren't worth getting into a fist fight over.

Wings guy and Leafs guy are screaming at eachother

Leafs fan goes after Wings fan

A whole bunch of Leafs fans start punching Wings fan

Ushers try to break it up and can't

The fight continues

A woman is even involved at this point

Everyone was standing up and watching the fight in the stands

No one was watching the game at this point

It was ridiculous!!

I have wings season tickets and the only time I have EVER seen a fight in the stands has been when the Leafs are in town.

They are a joke!!! I had garbage thrown at me when I cheered for the Wings 3rd goal

Sweet... fans are attending games!!!!

I have yet to see a fight in the stands in person... but i have to admit the ONLY time I have been physically touched at a game was at the ACC. I went for Game 4 of the NYI/TOR game... after the game these punks did there little middle school s*** where they take a friend and shove him into. Didn't really phase me at all... hell barely moved me. Had I not of just wanted to get home (4 hour drive still ahead) I might have bothered to do something. Then again maybe not, its not worth it

Haha... Leafs fans are such losers. The Laff Nation is nothing but a crumpled up mess of insane cave creatures that don't get enough air.

Oh well. At least it shows the JLA crowd isn't completely dried up yet. It's nice to see something going on there. Most of the time it's like a graveyard in that building.

See that is exactly what I was talking about!!! Leafs fans do that all the time they come to Joe Louis, don't get me wrong some of them are cool, but there are always a few who have too many Molsons and when the Wings get up by 4+ goals they get pissy. When I use to live in Detroit I have sat with Colorado fans, Dallas , StLouis, Chicago, Rangers, Montreal,Anaheim and SanJose fans and all have been pretty cool, But the Leafs Fans, are probably the worse!

Also, I'm sorry your 7yr old had to see that!

I was at the game (Section 102) but by the time i looked over they were just screaming at each other with a bunch of ushers in between them. Not even the Avalanche fans get pissed off enough that they fight Wings fans, not that i've ever seen anyways.

Don't sweat the kid thing. My dad took me to my first game ever at about that age. It was a Windsor Spitfire bench clearing brawl. I was so excited I think I peed my pants. I wanted to go to EVERY hockey game since. Just in case.

Don't sell 'em short. 7 yr olds are smarter than grownups by far.

My first Red Wings game I saw at the Joe (had seen several at the old Olympia, just took a while to get to the Joe), was in the mid 80's against Montreal.

There were 2 fights in the stands between fans and I saw one beer vendor get escorted out because he was pouring beer on Habs fans' seats during the intermission.

I miss the passionate fans from the O-6. Maybe Chicago will get themselves pulled back together, but its been really boring from the rivalry standpoint for way too many years.
