interminded 1 Report post Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) Spectorshockey has three reports from Slovakian media that Peter Bondra retires. HOKEJ.SK/HOKEJPORTAL.SK/BLESKOVKY.SK: all report former NHL star forward Peter Bondra has officially announced his retirement and has also been named general manager of Team Slovakia by the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation.Bondra said he'd been putting off this decision of retirement for some time hence the reason he hadn't filed retirement papers with the NHL. Spector's Note: Hat tip to Alexander Wirdzek. Washington Capitals fans will always have a place in their hearts for Bondra as he had his best years with the Caps. As Alexander notes, Slovak fans will remember Bondra for his "Golden Goal" at the IIHF World Championships in 2002.
