mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted February 22, 2008 Plus, Seattle won't be in Seattle next year. That is very true. I forgot about that. It could be a fire sale........
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted February 22, 2008 Why did the Pistons even bother to trade? What a pointless trade it was. The Cavs got a whole lot stronger, despite the fact Wallace is a shadow of the player he was when with Detroit. I'm still tipping the Spurs to win it again. dallas27 7 Report post Posted February 22, 2008 I'm still tipping the Spurs to win it again. Not if Sheed plays like he can and did in the 4th quarter against the Bucks the other night. That was a disappointing and entertaining game to watch all at the same time. My own opinion, but, Sheed is the best player in the NBA when he wants to be, and that is both offensively and defensively. Post him up, let him slide outside and knock down the 3, fadeaway, it doesn't matter when he is on. And Duncan has stated that nobody guards him better than Sheed. I haven't watched the Stones religiously like I did before but the games I see and the effort the starting 5 and the new and improved bench puts out (Maxiell is a MONSTER) it's hard to argue that they have a legit chance at it. Best part? Thanks to Boston they are under the radar big time despite some analysts picking them to win it all.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 Pistons beat the Bucks 127-100. Amir Johnson: 13 pointz (6/7), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. 48 points from the bench.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Pistons won't be under the radar for very much longer if they keep putting on performances like this last one. Laying a 30-point thrashing on the Suns on national TV tends to attract attention. Seems like every one of their shots was falling - what a fun game to watch. One advantage basketball has over hockey: Blowouts are more fun to watch, they just keep pouring it on.
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 can the East just jump to the conference finals and put Pistons against the Celtics? Seriously, the East is so weak, I can only hope for a replay of the 2004 NBA Finals.

The east is a joke, but that doesn't stop me from believing that Detroit/Boston can beat a Western team for the title.

The Pistons and Celtics could compete in the West. There's no need to assume the West will roll away with the title - as Jon Barry said the other day, there's no rule that the West gets to have six teams in the Finals. Gonna be one-on-one, and whoever gets there from the West will have had two or three grueling series of six or seven games each.
